new toys

I had to buy a new printer, but decided to splurge a little and get one that scans and copies as well. So to make sure it worked okay I scanned a recent sketch, and I couldn't be happier. Then I went a little overboard and started to color. I'm not so good at coloring, so I'm trying to get in some practice.

project catch-up

I just completed a few stop-motion projects and now here they are for the world to see. Keep in mind, these are from a beginner stop-mo course and my timing is still a little shaky.

Here is a piece done with cardstock puppets using the "cut-out" technique. The assignment was Alternative Locomotion, and some sort of non-conventional movement of a character was required:

shades of chinchilla


Working on some color models for my chinchilla character. I just spit this out of Photoshop. Not that color really matters at this stage, as I'm supposed to be focusing on the rough animation. But I do what I can to avoid my unhealthy obsession with the refresh button on my yahoo mail.
